Are you willing to pay less to fly if it means less flexibility?
This is the story that YOU wanted to hear us talk about! It received 70 percent of the vote in our Radioactive poll!
As fun and exciting as a vacation or business trip can be, the exorbitant cost of flying can be a deterrent for many. Now, passengers on Delta will have a choice: cost vs. flexibility.
Beginning in March, Delta will divide its aircrafts into five sections, each with its own set of prices and accommodations, according to Fox News.
Are you willing to pay less to fly if it means having less accommodations before and during your flight?
Basic Economy
The cheapest option, but also has the most restrictions.
Basic Economy passengers won’t be able to choose seats in advance, make changes, fly stand-by, get refunds for unused tickets or receive upgrades — even if you’re a Medallion member. You’re also the last to board the aircraft.
Main Cabin
A new designation for what economy class is today.
Delta Comfort +
In Delta Comfort+, passengers will get priority boarding (after First Class and Delta One classes), dedicated overhead space, complimentary alcoholic beverages, premium snack options, and wider access to in-flight entertainment on flights over 900 miles.
The seats in this section will have extra legroom and quilted seats that look a little different from the others.
Delta One
Rebranded from business class, this section will have seats that go flat, linens, better in-flight menus and other accommodations. These will be provided on international and long domestic flights.
First Class
The highest level of comfort, accommodation and price. Flying first class can be an exciting experience and customers on Delta flights will have access to power outlets, special overhead compartment spaces and more.
