Baby’s obesity is jaw-dropper, but is it our business?
A lot of babies can be described as chubby, plump or just “healthy.” We tell one another they will grow out of it as soon as they figure out how to walk. But what do you say to the mother of an 8-month-old who weighs 44 pounds?!
In case you haven’t had an 8-month-old around lately, that is three times the normal weight for that age and classifies him as morbidly obese … at 8-months-old!
You can’t blame this on the kid for being lazy and addicted to Nutella. Apparently this is all from being overfed formula by his mother who says she didn’t know better.
The baby has been taken from his home and is being treated, possibly facing surgery to prevent the inevitable health consequences of being THIS FAT, this soon.
Should parents be allowed to raise kids however they see fit, or is this just another form of child abuse?
