Movies in a Minute: ‘The Judge’

Hank, a lawyer, returns home from the city life to the small town where he grew up to be his father’s defense attorney. His father, the town’s judge, is under investigation for murder. While Hank is getting to the bottom of the story, he reconnects with his alienated family.

While I enjoyed the interactions between Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall, — two great actors — I think the rest of the movie could have been better. I think the movie falls into a lot of the predictability of the court-room-drama movies. It’s not terrible but it felt a little thin.
