Movies in a Minute: ‘Kill the Messenger’

A newspaper journalist, Gary Webb, stumbles upon what winds up being a huge story about the CIA being directly involved in the nation’s crack epidemic in “Kill the Messenger.” Soon after, strange things begin to happen all around him: People close to him keep disappearing, his sources begin to change their story and the CIA starts following him everywhere he goes.

“Kill the Messenger” is acted well, and it is told realistically. The movie’s pacing kept me interested until the end, especially after he breaks the news story to the public. It is said to be based off a true story, but even if half of it were true, it is still an all-around fantastic film.
