Texas police shut down lemonade stand of two young girls
Most young children operate lemonade stands outside their home in order to earn a little extra money.
With the help of parents or guardians, they stir up a pitcher of juice, set up a table, decorate a sign and use their adorable wiles to turn a profit.
Andria Green and her sister Zoey took part in this common practice in order to purchase their dad a Father’s Day present, according to Buzzfeed.com.
Soon after, Texas police came and shut down their illegal operation. It turns out the girls were breaking the Texas House Bill 970, which allows homeowners to sell certain baked goods and drinks, but lemonade is not on the list.
The bill allows for the lemonade stand to exist, but only if it were to be given away for free.
