Price of beer at Chase Field among cheapest in major leagues

Prices at the concession stands at your nearby major league ballpark can often equate to highway robbery.

The combined cost for a hot dog and a beer can easily exceed $10, depending on the stadium. Luckily for fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks, the concession stand prices are among the most affordable in the majors.

In fact, according to an infographic on vinepair.com, the price for a beer at Chase Field is the cheapest of any available at the 29 other stadiums.

With a concession stand price of $4.00, Chase Field (14 ounces) and Cleveland’s Progressive Field (12 ounces) tied for the cheapest stadiums in which fans can purchase the smallest beer available, ranking $1.98 below the league average.

When it comes to beer by the ounce, Chase Field is the most affordable venue in the game, averaging 28 cents per ounce of beer consumed. That figure ranks 12 cents below the league average.

Fans in Boston pay the most of anyone in league, as the price for the smallest beer at Fenway Park (12 ounces) is $7.75, with Red Sox lovers paying 65 cents per ounce.
