Check out lightyear.fm, a site that shows what radio waves you would hear certain distances from earth.

Staying relatively close to earth, you hear recent hits like “Sugar” by Maroon 5. As you move back, you go from Tupac to Tears for Fears and if you go 70 light years back, you hear the like of Perez Prado from 1955.

Not a bad way to spend a lazy Sunday.
