Two Arizona cities named in best places to spend your retirement

Nerd Wallet compiled a list of ten of the best cities to spend your retirement savings and two Arizona towns made the cut.

The list is made up of data for cities with under 100,000 residents, factoring in affordability, state taxes, local economic strength, transportation, health care quality and the size of the senior community.

Prescott made the list at number five due to its large senior community (34%) and access to trails and camping sites for retirees looking to spend time in the outdoors.

Oro Valley came in at number four, citing its resorts and golf courses along with 30% of its population over 65. Oro Valley has also experienced 6% growth in its economy from 2011-13.

Also making the list were Fort Lee, New Jersey, Sarasota,Florida and Walnut Creek, California, among others.
