Twitter is all over Amazon Prime Day and a lot of it is super disappointed

As everyone who has a working forebrain is aware, Wednesday is P-Day — Prime Day — at online retail giant Amazon.
Leading up to the big day, the seller of almost everything bragged that the deals would be better than Black Friday.
Many Twitter users would disagree and they did so with sharp humor. The laughs are free. Now that’s a deal.

#PrimeDay is like when grandma says “help yourself to the candy jar!” but it has nothing but raisins and sugar-free salt water taffy

#PrimeDay's selection is like browsing through a Goodwill in a wealthy neighborhood.

#PrimeDay is like the worst first date imaginable. I am pretty sure this is not going to lead to a second date.

So far I'm unimpressed with #PrimeDay. Really @amazon? Compression socks and movies that no one wants anyway? You can do better than that.

#PrimeDay is like when your dad goes on a business trip and promises presents but really he just bought you coloring books at the airport

I'm still holding out for @Amazon employees to put all their soy sauce and mustard packets from their desk drawers in #PrimeDay

If only there were another word for “Disappointing” – Oh wait! There is. It's called “#primeday” http://t.co/sRrtXpPP4g

The best part of #PrimeDay is reading the tweets about how bad #PrimeDay is.
