Family argument turns deadly in Phoenix, suspect on the run

PHOENIX — Law enforcement agencies across the state are searching for a man who is suspected of shooting his 18-year-old nephew in Phoenix.

Hector Garcia-Alcantar, 25, is wanted in connection with the shooting of Dallas Orr in a residence near 34th Avenue and Indian School Road on Sunday. Orr was transported to a nearby hospital but later pronounced dead.

Witnesses said the shooting happened in a bedroom of the home after the two men were arguing.

Police said the suspect then fled in the family’s tan 1996 Lincoln Town Car, which has Arizona license plate BES0080. He is considered armed and dangerous.

According to police, Garcia-Alcantar is a convicted felon who had been deported. Police report finding both guns and drugs in his room after he fled.
