Valley Metro services changes to take effect April 27

PHOENIX — Valley Metro is undergoing a number of changes that will adjust the schedules and enhance service for a number local riders beginning Monday, April 27.

Changes to Valley Metro’s service include:

Added trips: Route 685 — Buckeye

Modified routes: Routes 13, 56, 96, 108. 571

New routes: Central South Mountain East RAPID

Park-and-ride relocation: Routes 573, 575

Schedule adjustments: Routes 41, 45, 61, 72, 77, 81, 514, 562, 563, Central South Mountain West RAPID, Arizona Ave./Country Club Dr. LINK

According to Valley Metro, the adjustments are aimed at increasing overall service efficiency, while the new service will provide added travel options for riders.

Valley Metro riders are advised that the April edition of the Transit Book is modified as a Transit Book supplement, with the supplement only featuring the affected routes and schedules on April 27. Routes not impacted by the April 27 change will remain the same as shown in the October 2014 Transit Book.

Valley Metro is asking riders to keep their October issue if their routes are not changing.
