Collaborative coworking space company Gangplank opens new office in Queen Creek

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. — Gangplank, a coworking space company, has opened a new office in Queen Creek aimed to help bridge important resources to small businesses.

After being approved for a one-year lease with the Queen Creek town council this past February, Gangplank officially started business on April 9, following a ribbon cutting ceremony commemorating the company’s newest location.

“We are hopeful that Gangplank QC will help us identify entrepreneurs and tech companies that are ready to launch or take their operations to the next level,” said Doreen Cott, the Economic Development Director for Queen Creek.

Offering free work space for local businesses, including free wi-fi and conference room space, the goal is to encourage small business growth and offer incentives for companies that stay local, according to Mayor of Queen Creek Gail Barney.

“Our vision for the Gangplank cooperative is to have a resource right here in Queen Creek to help small businesses grow and stay in [in our town],” said Barney.

To sweeten the pot, Gangplank also has designs on adding amenities such as 3D printers and large computer monitors in the near future.

Located at 22246 S. Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek’s Gangplank location is open for free to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
