Faith in Humanity: Valley group houses castaway LGBTQ youth
A Valley shelter gives lesbian, gay, bisexual and questioning children a place to go when their families cast them away.
Mulligan’s Manor’s mission statement said it wants to give these teens a second chance at a happy life by embracing and nurturing them. The community provides special programs, education and counseling in hopes of reuniting families.
The home always has a wait list from child welfare but funding severely taxes its resources.
The charity accepts online donations.
