How quick are we to judge without knowing anything about real circumstances?

Jane rushes through the streets to get to her daughter, June's, school program. They playfully greet each other as Jane takes her seat on the stage for some type of program honoring mothers.

Jane recounts moments from June's childhood. Not only is Jane a young mother, but she is also a student. She doesn't have friends like normal young adults. She rushes home to her daughter whom she has had since she was 18 years old. Those around her talk behind her back and speculate that she has a “sugar daddy,” yet Jane provides a loving home for June — with art lessons and anything else June needs to be happy and healthy.

Jane also keeps a secret.

Years before, Jane was walking along a road and heard a baby crying from inside a zipped bag. There, she found an abandoned baby. She took the baby home and named the baby June.

When June's art teacher, Phutt, asks Jane why she doesn't tell people the truth about June, she responds, “I'd rather let them talk about me than talk about June.”

This beautiful woman put aside her own wants and needs to care for another, absorbing hurtful gossip to save her daughter from criticism.

Mothers do these acts of love for their children everyday. They care for their own — adopted or birthed. They care for others' children. Compassion, love and nurturing qualities are what make mothers beautiful.

So many children are in need of loving adoptive families. Watch this story of a girl who was abused and later adopted (and grab a whole box of tissues). This video gives hope to those in broken situations.
