Police looking for suspect in armed dollar store robbery in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Family Dollar store at 3555 West Van Buren St. in January.

On Friday, Jan. 3 at approximately 6:37 p.m., the suspect walked into the store, held two female employees at gunpoint and demanded cash. An employee opened the register and gave cash to the suspect, who ran out of the store and got into a red or maroon four-door sedan.

The suspect is a Hispanic male, approximately 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds with a thin mustache. He was wearing a gray hoodie and carrying a black AK-47 with a folded stock front grip.

Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 in return for any useful information in this case.
