Faith in Humanity: Single mom returns wallet with $1,000 cash

For a single mom who works two jobs, $1,000 is a ton of money. Heck, it’s a ton of money for anyone.

According to Newser, Sadie Hill, a single mom in Fargo, N.D., was tempted to keep the $1,000 in cash she found in a wallet. However, she returned the wallet to show her daughter that it’s good to do the right thing.

“The only option was to return it,” she said. “But, I called my mom and I said, ‘You know, God is really testing me today.'”

The wallet’s owner originally gave Hill $20 for her trouble, but after seeing a report on her in the local media, felt bad and sent Hill a $200 gift card to help with back-to-school shopping.
