Faith in Humanity: Cops stop to play basketball with kids

A car normally stops a game of street basketball, unless the police are involved.

According to the Huffington Post, three Kansas City cops are going viral after they stopped to play basketball with some kids in a crime-riddled neighborhood.

“There have been several times we’ve stopped to play basketball with them, throwing the football around and stuff like that,” Officer Todd Templeton, one of the officers in the video, told Kansas City’s Fox 4.

Officer William Hooley said the game wasn’t unique or staged. He said it’s something they do everyday for about 30 minutes to show kids in bad neighborhoods there is good out there.

Hooley also said officers everywhere do things like play a game of basketball or toss around a football to make a kid’s day better.
