Let me guess, you’re going to be Irish for a day

It’s always amusing to me that on March 17th so many people decide to become Irish for a day.

According to a new survey, 97 percent of Americans plan to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in one form or another. Forty-one percent of them will be spending the night out with friends at a bar or party and 30 percent will be celebrating with family. More than 20 percent will be attending a St. Patrick’s Day parade, while five percent plan to celebrate with co-workers at an office party.

Apparently, I’m in the minority who won’t be celebrating. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good party. But, I don’t like beer and I’m not Irish. To be fair, I usually wear green on St. Paddy’s Day so maybe that counts as participating.
