Project Quit – ASHLine

Project Quit is a new initiative in a developed partnership with the Arizona Smokers’ Helpline (ASHLine) to showcase the tobacco quit process.

One of the more difficult addictions to break, a successful tobacco quitter can make, on average, 10 unsuccessful attempts to finally kick the habit.

Prior ASHLine marketing efforts have focused on services provided by the ASHLine and/or the personal story of real tobacco quitters. Project Quit married these two efforts showcasing the quit process while giving the audience a behind-the-scenes look at how the ASHLine interfaces with its clients.

Project Quit followed four tobacco users over 30-days.

Utilizing a professional camera at the beginning, middle and end of the process, as well as daily confessional style cameras, the footage gleaned from the 30-day process will be edited for social media distribution.

Launched on August 26th, Project Quit has a Facebook site and an Internet portal. The Facebook site will contain daily updates from all participants including video updates highlighting their day-to-day struggle with quitting tobacco. Viewers will be encouraged to engage the tobacco quitters and quit/share their own quit tobacco story/journey. The online portal will provide additional information including in-depth videos on the participants as well as information on the ASHLine.
