Amazon.com’s ‘Prime Day’ promises more deals than Black Friday

On July 15, Amazon.com will celebrate 20 years of revolutionizing the way we shop with a “global shopping event” that aims to provide more deals for consumers than Black Friday.

Like Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), which unofficially marks the start of Christmas shopping, “Prime Day” deals on Amazon will start at midnight.

New discounts will be offered as often as every 10 minutes according to a statement by the company. The event will be open to Amazon Prime members in the U.S., the U.K., Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and Austria.

For those who aren’t Prime members, Amazon is offering a 30-day trial that will allow shoppers to participate on Prime Day.

“If you’re not already a Prime member, you’ll want to join so you don’t miss out on one of the biggest deals extravaganzas in the world,” Greg Greeley, vice president of Amazon Prime said.
