Study: Arizona is best state for gun owners

PHOENIX — Arizona has been named the best state for gun owners for the second year in a row.

Guns and Ammo said Arizona is the best for gun owners because it incorporates strong laws with an unmatched shooting culture and secure industry presence. You can purchase, own and carry a gun without a permit.

The rankings were based on five categories, ranging from the right-to-carry firearms to subjects relating to the National Firearms Act to adequate shooting opportunities.

Vermont, Alaska, Utah and Kentucky rounded out the top five, respectively.

Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C. are the worst places for gun owners.
