Domestic violence victim posts video to raise awareness

Emma Murphy of Dublin, Ireland posted a video Monday after being hit by her husband, which she said is to raise awareness.

The name of the video with close to 400,000 views on YouTube show Murphy with a black eye talking about her two-year relationship with a man who she said she “thought was the love of her life” that ended recently after he hit her.

Raising a hand to a woman is not the answer, stand up for what is right. #strong#independent#mammy is the name of the video.

In the description, Murphy writes, “Hi guys my name is Emma I’m 26 from Ireland I’m a single mother of two, I run a business from home around my children, I’m a firm believer in standing up for what is right, if you or anyone you know can relate to my story get in touch.”
