Short film of a man saying goodbye to his dog will leave you in tears

Warning: This video will make you want to go home to hug your dog.

Photographer Ben Moon made a short film, titled “Denali,” as a tribute to his dog of the same name, who passed away last year at 14.

Moon adopted the pup from a pound in 1999 and the duo soon became best buds, travelling the nation in Moon’s vehicle and capturing the world in a new perspective.

Things took a turn for the worse when Moon was diagnosed with cancer in 2004, but Denali never left his side, staying with him through thick and thin until the photographer finally won the battle.

Unfortunately, the same could not been said for the pup: Denali was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 before he succumbed to the disease due to old age.

He passed away a month later.

Luckily, Moon took his endless collection of photos and footage and made a touching tribute for the best friend that he lost but will never forget.
