Video of cop playing football with kids goes viral

A man in Bennettsville, South Carolina posted a video of a police officer playing football with a group of kids that has now gone viral.

Lorenzo Adams recorded officer C.J. Mullinax playing with the kids at a local park and posted it, writing “Just driving by and witnessed this…had to video Because (sic) of all the other videos out there,, please SHARE so people can know what kind of Cops (sic) we have in this town!!!!!”

According to Buzzfeed and Bennettsville Police Chief Larry McNeil, Officer Mullinax “does this all the time.” McNeil said the dpartment has encouraged its officers to take time out of their days and interact with citizens for the last eight or nine years. He said all his officers do similar activities with citizens.

After the video went viral, (it has been viewed over 7 million times in the last week) original poster Adams said he’s happy the video was shared as a positive example of officers interacting with the community.
