Baltimore gang members keep the peace, explain their truce

Members of three Baltimore gangs say they are working together to keep the peace.

Local TV station WBAL 11 spoke with members of the Bloods, Crips and Black Guerilla Family gangs in a joint interview, according to Jezebel.

The gang members said they called a truce so they could work together to protect both police officers and Baltimore citizens from protesters. The gang members said they wanted justice for Freddie Gray, a black man who died while in police custody. Protests against his death sparked the riots in Baltimore.

The gang members said their alliance has nothing to do with the harming of cops.
