Police searching for pair who committed armed robbery at Phoenix grocery store

PHOENIX — Two suspects remain at large after stealing alcohol from a Safeway grocery store located at 520 W. Osborn Road in Phoenix.

It was just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, when the suspects entered the store and walked to the liquor section. According to reports, the suspects took several bottles of alcohol and attempted to leave the store without paying before a loss prevention officer tried to stop them.

When approached by the loss prevention officer, however, the male suspect fought briefly with the officer before threatening the individual with a revolver before escaping.

A $1,000 reward is available to anyone who helps brings the two individuals in question to justice.

The first suspect has been described as a white male in his late 20s, standing 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds wearing a white T-shirt and faded baggy dark jeans while armed with a silver revolver.

The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic female in her late 20s, standing 5-foot-5 and 135 pounds with a tattoo across her chest and on the back side of her left shoulder. She was last seen wearing a white tank top, dark shorts and black athletic shoes.
