Police searching for suspect in Phoenix armed robbery

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in a December armed robbery in Phoenix.

At 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28, the suspect entered a 7-Eleven at 646 W Indian School Rd. He threatened the store’s clerk with a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded the money from the cash register.

When the clerk refused, the suspect shot the clerk in the arm, went behind the counter and took money from the register. He proceeded to flee on foot toward North Seventh Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s, 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a bandana over his face during the robbery.
