Is it OK to be OK with Arizona Cardinals’ season?

This is the story that YOU wanted to hear us talk about! It received 48 percent of the vote in our Radioactive poll!

The Arizona Cardinals saw their season come to a bitter end Saturday in Charlotte, losing to the Carolina Panthers, 27-16.

Though at one point in the season boasting an NFL-best 9-1 — and eliciting dreams of a Super Bowl XLIX appearance in the Valley — the Cardinals lost four of their last six regular season games, failing to capture the NFC West title and sliding into a five seed by the time the playoffs started.

It was the Cardinals’ winningest season since arriving in Arizona, but did the team fall short of the expectations they created for themselves when they jumped out to such an impressive start?

As laid out on ArizonaSports.com, the Cardinals overcame myriad adversity over the course of their season — including key injury after key injury and a pair of costly suspensions — causing many to wonder, “What if?”

“I don’t look at ‘what if.’ ‘What if’ will drive you crazy. I look at what can be, and what can be is a great football team with a few new pieces next year, but the core is here now,” head coach Bruce Arians said, as mentioned in Arizona Sports’ story.

“With (GM) Steve (Keim) and (president) Michael (Bidwill) — you can look at the building — there’s a commitment to winning in this organization that the Valley should be extremely proud of. I know I’m very proud to be a part of it.”

The Cardinals are already preparing their roster for their 2015 campaign.
