Movies in a Minute: ‘Annie’

Annie, an orphan who lives in a foster home with a mean foster mom, gets an opportunity at a new life. Will Stacks, a rich politician looking to make a good PC move for his campaign, takes her in. At first, Stacks finds her as an annoyance but ultimately begins to like having Annie around and the two form a friendship.

If you have seen the original movie, or the play, you will not gain anything new from this. There is nothing good about this version of the movie. The story, the characters, and even the songs fall flat and do not transfer into the modern age as well as I feel like it was intended to.
