“This is definitely a guy we want to get into custody,” said Phoenix Police Sgt. Derek Elmore.

On Oct. 23, 2014, at about 3:15 p.m., a man attempted to snatch a 16-year-old girl as she walked home from school near 41st and Dunlap avenues.

The man actually drove onto the sidewalk and into a front yard trying to get to the girl. He had his window down and was reaching out to grab her.

“She was smart enough to see it coming and was able to get away,” Elmore said.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid 30s with a shaved head. He was wearing prescription eye glasses. He was driving a dark-colored sedan with oxidized paint and tinted rear windows.

Our next case takes us to a neighborhood in the far southwest Valley on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014. It was 3 a.m. A man was attacked right in front of his house near 107th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

“Three suspects, two men and a woman, beat the man and stole his wallet, car keys and car,” said Elmore.

Soon after the assault, two of the suspects, a man and a woman, were caught on video inside the Avondale Walmart attempting to use the victim’s stolen credit cards.

Investigators don’t know if he was followed home or if it was just a random attack.
