Police searching for man who robbed a Phoenix Family Dollar

Valley police departments continue to look for a man suspected of robbing a Phoenix Family Dollar last month.

Silent Witness said a man entered a Family Dollar located at 1717 W. Southern Ave. on Friday, Sept. 12, around 1:35 p.m. and pretended to buy items before pulling out a paper bag, pushing a handgun into the clerk’s chest and demanding money.

The suspect then reportedly fled on foot. Silent Witness said a dark SUV with gray trim along the running boards was seen leaving the area shortly after the suspect fled.

The male suspect is approximately 30 years old, between 5’7″ and 5’10” in height. He was wearing black hat, black horn rimmed Ray Ban sunglasses and a black and white jersey with the word “Chicago” written in script.
