Silent Witness

It can’t get much more terrifying than working the overnight shift by yourself at a convenience store when a guy walks in with an assault weapon.
“This occurred on Friday, April 22nd, 2011, at about 3 in the morning when the suspect walks into a Circle K store at seventh street and Hatcher with what appears to be an automatic rifle,” Phoenix Police Sgt. Darren Burch said.
Burch said the gunman demanded cash and cigarettes.
“The clerk gave him his demands and the suspect took off on foot.”
The suspect was either white or a light-skinned hispanic, medium build.
“He’s wearing camouflage cap, dark pants, dark shirt, just a very scary sight,” Burch said.
Burch said he could not even imagine the fear the clerk must have had during the ordeal.
